Great Falls Friday

We had a great day at Great Falls National Park with friends today. We started with lunch.

Then a little rock climbing.

What a fun adventure! Days like this make me want summer to last forever. OK, so maybe I'm still counting down the days until school starts.

Legomania

Today I took a few Brown kids with us to the National Building Museum in DC.

It is awesome inside!!

We started at the building area for kids.

The progression of their lego tower.

The real reason we came was for this exhibit.

An architect created several buildings out of Legos for us to look at.

As part of the exhibit, we got to build with lots and lots of Legos.

OK, so it's not Legoland, but it made for a great field trip.

Dewey Beach, Delaware

Aaahh, the ocean. I miss it. I miss the smells, the ocean breeze, the days under my umbrella watching my boys play in the sand for hours. Funny, I even miss the sand that became a permanent resident of my floors and washing machine for the summer. Luckily, we are within a few hours of the ocean and took a mini vacation to hang out at the beach.

We went with the Browns for a fun two days.

With arm cast and all, Spencer got right in there digging away.

Staying alive.

Their favorite part was digging this huge hole. It became the hit of the beach.

It was their mini hot tub until the ocean waves smashed it altogether.
