Hoppy Easter!

Their baskets were filled.

Thank you, Mammy, for their cute clothes and gifts!!
James got the book set of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

Spencer got a new keyboard for his iPad.  Of course we had to import some of our Easter candy.

The girls each got a bunny, a book, a Barbie movie and umbrella.
After church we had a feast with wonderful friends in our ward.
Hope didn't wear that Halloween bow to church so I'm not sure why she's wearing it.
Thanks, pinterest, for the bunny roll idea. I think some of them look more like cats.

Faith wanted to host our own Easter egg hunt, so after dinner the kids got to look for the eggs the boys had hidden (thrown) all over the back yard.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  I give thanks for this day more than any other.

More Falls

After our picnic lunch next to this old skyway car...
We drove to check out a few more things in the Blue Mountains.
Wentworth Falls are gorgeous. You can hike a thousand stairs all the way to the bottom.  We saw people doing it, and Spencer wanted to do it. There is no way we could drag the other three kiddos down and back up all those stairs.

They call this the boar's head, but it looks more like a wolf.  If you ask Faith, it's a crocodile's head.
We fell in love with the Blue Mountains!

What would a trip up north be without a visit to our old friend Rambo in Goulburn on our way home?  He is sporting a new scarf some quilting ladies made for him, and we thought that was blog worthy :)

Skyway

The last thing we rode at Scenic World was this skyway.  It didn't go up or down, it took us across the valley and back again.

The middle part is glass so you can look below.

The skyway took us to Katoomba Falls.

What is it about water, sticks and rocks?

On the Boardwalk

The railway dropped us off on the boardwalk where we walked around the bottom of the mountain. We weren't on the valley floor; there was still a lot below us, but this is where they drop you off and let you check out the mining stuff and take in the views of all the great trees.

They said a lot of the horses who worked in the mine eventually went blind.

We went back up the mountain on this cableway.
