Animal Fair

Last night we went to the elementary school for the much anticipated Animal Fair. Spencer chose the Tiger Shark.
Did you know that inside a tiger shark's stomach they have found tires, license plates, clothes, rats, cans, nails, and about anything else. We focused on that for his poster (thus the license plate glued to his poster).

They also made a slide show of their animals with the kids talking about it.
Good job, Spencer!

Kill The Bill!

I need to thank cousin Valerie who emailed me yesterday asking if I could go to Capitol Hill today, and the five women who came with me to help protest the health care bill. After all, I'm always up for a good protest.
Carrie, Stacy, Heather, Rebecca, me and Traci.
The crowd of protesters filled the lawn in front of the Capitol building. We listened to speakers; my favorite was the actor John Voight and Michele Bachmann from Minnesota.
It was quite exciting, especially since this was my first protest on Capitol Hill.
Some of my favorite signs...

Michele Bachmann.
After the rally, we were encouraged to pressure those who are still undecided.
I don't know what will happen tomorrow with this bill, but I can say how impressed I am with the thousands of Americans who traveled thousands of miles to be here today ( 800 people from San Diego traveled by bus) and let their voice be heard. I was proud to be there and proud to be an American.

She Wants to be Big

My little baby has decided she wants to be big. She wears my clothes, my shoes, and plays rough with the boys. Today we were at the mall and she wanted to push the stroller. She just can't push the stroller with my help, though. She pushed me away and made sure I knew she didn't want my help. How do they get so independent so fast?

Happy St. Patty's Day

Maybe it's because we lived next to an Irish Pub for so long in Long Beach. Maybe I'm finally connecting to my Irish roots (my maiden name is Brady). Whatever the reason, I've decided ever since last year, that St. Patrick's Day would be a big deal at our house. A little leprechaun visited our house yesterday and in addition to leaving yummy candy, he colored the toilet water green. We of course wore our best green and had a traditional Irish dinner with all green side dishes. I wonder what tricks the leprechaun will play next year.

Hello, Sunshine.

Our first day in the park this year. What a welcomed day to be in the 60's--finally!!

B-I-N-G-O

Tonight we headed to the boys' school for some good ol' Bingo fun. It was not our night--no winners here. I was just grateful to have a free night of entertainment.
I guess I was not entertained. I had to chase Faith all night. She's not too impressed with Bingo.

Goodnight, Sleep Tight

Last night when we put Faith to bed, she had to have her teddy bear, Woody doll and light saber. She always has her back.

Prayer Face

Whenever we say it's time for the prayer, Faith always pulls this face. She has her prayer face on.

I Just Turned around for a Second...

And there was Faith with a new pair of glasses at CVS.
