Happy Birthday, James!

 James wanted a pool party to celebrate the big 9, so we partied at the pool.

 James had lots of cousins there to help him celebrate.

 We ended with dinner at Red Robin where James got the birthday dessert.

Happy Birthday, James!  We sure love you and feel so blessed that you are part of our family.

Drive-In

It's tradition.  We love the drive-in when we come to Utah for the summer.  We watched Brave and hoped the kids would sleep through the Avengers, but no such luck.  

Fifteen Years Later

 We moved into the same house with the Hodges fifteen years ago in Provo.  Doug and I had the basement, and Jeff and Kathy had the upstairs.  We shared cable, dinners together, babysitting when our babies came, and lots of laughs and memories over the four years we lived together.

And look at us now.  My kids asked, "How do we know them again?" after we had lunch with the Hodges.  I told my kids they are the first friends we made after we got married--our oldest, but still good-looking friends.  Love you, Hodges!

Snowbird

 We really missed James who was at cub scout camp and Megan and Wendell at Youth Conference, but it was the only weekend we could get away to Snowbird.  We had never been there before, and what a beautiful place to have some fun.

 Spencer on the ropes course.

 The mechanical bull.  The best picture I had of Spencer was when he was thrown.

 The trampoline jumpers.  Faith LOVED this and did it at least fifteen times.  She could flip with the best of them.

 We had a day of fun, then a night at the pool before we went to bed.

 The next morning we woke up and rode the zip rider.

 Mammy and Faith were thrown off the slide when the guy behind them ran into them.

I think this is one of Utah's best kept secrets. 

Cub Scout Camp

 Since James missed his own cub scout camp, he was thrilled to go with his cousin Jacob to scout camp for the day.  It had everything boys love.

He had so much fun.  Thank you Mark and Jacob!
