Road Trip

The kids and I took off on our first summer road trip Saturday, June 18th to go spend a week with my family in New York and Connecticut. Here they are raring to go.

We stayed in Newark, New Jersy for three nights, and the kids were so excited to see their cousins. We took the train into Manhattan every day.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

Our first day in New York we had tickets to go to the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.

This lady asked if Faith would sit with her so they could take her picture. I took the picture too even though we have no idea who these people are.

We climbed up 153 steps, then climbed down, and Faith did it all by herself.

Dylan's Candy Bar

This place is a MUST-GO place in NYC. The kids get to fill a bag of candy (not all the way, it's $13/pound).

The kids love the candy, and we love the cupcakes.

It's not everyday they get to sit down to a table and pig out on their candy.

Central Park

The kids really wanted to just climb on all the rocks at Central Park, so we let them.

We wanted to sit down and the babies needed a nap. OK, so we kind of took a nap too.

After the napping, we found this splash pad in Central Park, and the kids were in heaven.

One of our favorite places in New York City.
