James played his last soccer game of the season today. The first game of the season was so hot, I guess it is appropriate that the last game was so cold!!!!
We've loved watching him play--it's not rugby, but it will have to do.
We are back on the soccer field today for the first game of the season after a two-year break. We thought we loved soccer best, but we kind of miss rugby :)
Faith played soccer for the first time ever this year. It was so hot!!!!!
James gave up baseball this season to return to the soccer field with his team the Fighting Fury.
We love his decision to give up baseball. I think it would have been kid pitch this year, and believe me, we'd rather watch soccer than a nine-year-old pitcher.
Faith LOVES this Halloween shirt even though it is April. I swear she was meant to live in the '80's with her sense of style.
I can't believe James only has three more games this season.
It really wasn't that cold.
James was the team captain today and had a great game.
We were in charge of the snack, and Faith was ready for the boys to come get our ghost sugar cookies.
James has been doing really well in school lately too. His teacher gave him their class horse to take home this weekend. I'm sure Redford had a great time at the soccer game.
James' first soccer game of the season was cancelled last weekend because of all the rain we had received, so he played his first game today. The Fighting Furies started the season with an awesome win of 6-1 against the white team.
Of course this crew came along to cheer on James.
Faith really only comes to raid the snack cooler at the end of the games.
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." — Marjorie Pay Hinckley
