Get your Craft On

School is out for spring break, but we prefer to say we are in school holidays right now :)  The library hosted a craft day this afternoon so I took the kids to check it out.  It was so busy!  I guess we weren't the only ones looking for something to do.

The girls loved it and made lots of crafts.
This is what the boys did.

Field Trip

My days of being a chaperone for my boys on field trips are about over so any chance I can go with them, I'll take it. Today I went with Spencer on their career day field trip.  The counselors gave the kids a career survey at school and based on their answers the kids were divided into groups to visit different work sites.  I'm not sure what these kids all answered, but I went with Spencer's group to a furniture shop called Hardwood Artisans.  On the way there, the kids in the back of the bus all came running up to the front because there was smoke and burning smells coming from the back of the bus.  Turns out it was just the heater burning.
They took us on a tour of their wood shop and showed us the steps to making furniture.

 Our tour guide was Fez.
The kids loved the gift they got, a free cheese board.  We loved the bookcase bed this man is showing them.  The bookcases slid to the side and a bed came down out of the wall. We got the idea this was high-end furniture when they told us this bed was $12,000.  Lucky for us it was a smokeless ride home.

Tap Dance

A friend in our ward teaches tap dance in her home, and the girls have been taking tap dance lessons since January.

Sometimes I think they like their bird better than tap dancing.

Lunsford Night

If Doug is out of town for the week and the boys' school is having a fund-raising night at Subway, it's pretty much guaranteed we will be there.  The girls had to get pictures with the Lunsford mascot, Larry the Lion.

St. Patty's Day

Wow, things are really going down hill around here.  St. Patty's Day came and went and the only thing we can say about our celebration was green jello and green alfredo sauce.  Next year we will be better and maybe we will actually build that darn leprechaun trap.

All-Star Game

Each team in the basketball league got to send three players to an all-star exhibition game today.  James' coaches chose James to play.  We aren't surprised.  He's an all-star.

The final basketball game of a great season.

Cinderella

My girls are brain washed by the Disney Channel. The Disney Channel had been promoting the new Cinderella movie so much that my girls had to go see it.  I was pretty excited to see it too, so we went on opening night.

Doug asked them after if it was good.  Faith said, "It was better than good. It was magical."

We are the Champions

Tonight James and his team played in the grand finals.
 It was a great game.

 These boys won!

James did awesome.  Way to go on winning the championship!

Toothless

I love Faith's hair.  She slept in curlers all night, and she looked so cute for church this morning.  She also cried all morning because the boys told her she looked like Annie or someone from the 90's.  I had to take her picture because after all the tears this morning, I don't know if I will ever see her hair like this again.
She has also been making a bit of money from the tooth fairy lately.  Both of her front teeth are gone!

Semi-Finals

James' basketball team played in the semi-finals today.  They had only lost one game to one team going into this game.  Today they had to play that team.

It was pretty intense.  The score was always just within one point. With a minute left on the clock, James' team was ahead by three.

We really didn't know who would win up until the very end, but James' team won!  They are on to the championship game.
