Reptile Museum

Hope and I had about an hour to kill waiting for Faith to finish at a birthday party so I took her next door to the Reptile Museum.  Our Entertainment Book expires tomorrow so I thought we would be able to use our coupon.  Turns out Hope is free anyway :)

The guy who works here told us that this giant reptile thing was on the earth when some of the earliest aborigines were alive.  Since Australian aborigines have been around longer than any other people on earth, they probably saw things that are extinct today.

Not sure what a fox has to do with reptiles :)

Party, Party, Party

The girls have been spending a lot of time at birthday parties lately. We had three different parties on one day!  Hope had fun at a cooking  party for her friend Stella.
I don't know why Hope looks so unhappy. She had  a great time.
Faith went to Jeanna's birthday at McDonald's.
And then we had to leave straightaway for a party for Teresa at The Fairies' place.  They danced with a lady dressed up like a fairy and performed for the parents.

Hope loved Libby's Frozen party.  Libby's auntie is a party planner who did a segment on the morning news show in Sydney (just like the Today show).  Libby was on TV with her auntie who showed the audience how to plan a Frozen party.  Libby got to keep everything that was on TV for her party. It was awesome, and I think we are going to be copying all of this in a few months :)
 Pin the nose on Olaf.
This fake snow was awesome.  We definitely need this for our Frozen party.

Awards

Recently James' Mandarin teacher awarded James an award for "Excellence in Mandarin" at the Celebrations Assembly at CGS.

James is fourth from the left.
And at the most recent pack meeting, James received his Webelos Award.  Great job, James.  We are proud of our Mandarin-speaking Webelo.

Climbing the Walls

We had a Groupon about to expire to the rock climbing centre near our house so Doug took the boys climbing tonight.

What would we do without Groupon?

Gungahlin Pool

Today was the Open Day for our new swimming pool down the street.  Everyone got in free and they had face painting, balloons, etc.  I took Spencer, Faith and Hope to go check it out.  James was too tired after playing rugby.

Faith and a mascot for the Canberra Raiders rugby team.
