Fun in Hollywood

Our last day with our family we went to the Griffiths Observatory in LA.
James and Emily
Spencer and Tyler

Then we headed down the hill to Hollywood for a stop at Mickey's Soda Fountain. We ordered the Mickey's Masterpiece ice cream dish, and if you ate it all they gave you a prize.
We took the challenge seriously and ate and ate and then sipped and sipped.
Aren't we glad we ate all that for a pin to wear around that says, "I ate the whole thing!" A proud moment.
Megan always takes the best pictures.
The boys wanted a wig for a souvenier of Hollywood. I don't know where they will wear this except maybe if Italy is playing in the World Cup.
We came home to Long Beach for the free Friday night at the Aquarium
and then dinner at Bubba Gump's. A fun day with great company!!

This Girl has Skills!

Happy half-Birthday, Faith!!
We celebrated her six-month birthday with family at Disneyland.
Mammy ordered her a chocolate cake that we all loved, and what's a birthday party without ice cream. Yes, her half-birthday party was a success thanks to the Golden Horseshoe at Disneyland.
As a big six-monther, Faith can now sit up by herself....
eat solid foods.....
and do the best baby sit-ups you've ever seen.
The only problem is, she's outgrown her swing. I'm pretty sure a baby's not supposed to hang upside down in it.

Goofy's Kitchen and Disneyland

We were so happy to have the Riches, Mammy and the Bradys come to Disneyland over their spring break. We had a treat of going to dinner at Goofy's Kitchen.

Dancing and cooking with Goofy

I love this picture of Spencer trying to boost Emily up on the rocks in ToonTown.
Cousins on the train ride.

Fun with the Cuzins

The kids had a great two weeks being with so many cousins! Here are all of the cousins on my side of the family. We had just had fun at Seal Beach and dinner at Ruby's. Quite the night at Ruby's---the computers were down and a waitress had passed out in the back room.
They also got to hang out with the Croney cousins. Here are Emily and Halle with Faith.
What's a party without some American Idol on the Wii?

Tide Pools

How we love the tide pools! They're close, they're free, and they're perfect for entertaining our guests on a Sunday afternoon.
My family came to visit as well as Doug's sister and her family, so we had twice the fun. Here we are with the Riches and Mammy.

I have never had such a chunky baby. Look at those legs!

Legoland

Our first adventure when my family came to town was Legoland.
We wanted to go check out the new Indiana Jones ride. The kids thought it was pretty dumb, so I wouldn't rush over to try out the new rides.

The Pirate ride

Everyone loves skipper school.

Faith had to sit in her stroller all day. I hate Legoland's height requirements.
The firefighter race is always a favorite.

Spencer and James on the driving school cars. Don't get Doug started on the rules for this ride and how they wouldn't let James ride because his big brother ratted him out and told the ride operator he is five. You have to be six to ride and Doug was bound and determined to get the rules changed so that it was based on height instead of age. I guess James needs a nicer older brother. Needless to say, we just changed their shirts and sent James on the ride again.

The one and only ride Faith got to go on was a boat.
I knew Doug liked DC, but I didn't know that Spencer was such a Vegas fan.

We ended our day with dinner at the Longboarder Cafe in Oceanside. Very cute place--we highly recommend it.
