5K is for Katie

Here is Team Katie at this year's Donate Life Walk/Run at Cal. State Fullerton. Last Saturday we had the honor of being there for Katie.
Our family and Mammy at the Memorial Garden.
Faith with her big sister Katie's picture.
I love this picture of the kids with Katie in the background.

Every year they release doves in the Opening Ceremony.
Here is Team Katie on the 1K Health Walk.

The finish line!
A few of us ran the 5K. It was the first 5K I have ever done, and here's my mom and me after the race. I would totally do it again.
The ladies of Team Katie.

After the race the kids love all the free booths, games and prizes to win.

I love this day that we have to reflect on the lives of people who have made a difference through organ donation. I love that so many people have a chance to see Katie's picture and know of my little angel.

Open House

Spencer and James had open house at their school last Thursday. We were pretty impressed with Spencer's computer presentation on a lizard, and we loved James' drawing of Abraham Lincoln. James wrote about being a helper to his dad when he sets the table. Funny, I don't ever remember Dad in the picture when we are setting the table. We love to see what they have been working on all year. Spencer is with his teacher Ms. Sipowicz and James is with his teacher Mrs. Serrano.

Park City

We got to stay in Park City for the night so we could go watch my niece in a tumbling competition.
Here's Megan's cheering section.
Faith had the most fun playing under the seats.
While the girls sat for five hours at the competition, the boys got to swim back at the condo.

The next day we rode around Park City in the free trolley.
We really wanted to shop at the outlets, but there was a huge power outage so they were closed. Doug is very grateful.

Spring Break

It has to snow at least once in Utah during our spring break every year, but we'll take the snow.
The boys had a great week playing with cousins and visiting our usual places like Fat Cats.

All the kids waiting for the demonstrators at the Solomon Center to sky dive.

Ice cream at Farr's.
Katie's grave.
Despite the chilly weather, the kids got to go swimming at an indoor pool.

Faith's first time in the pool, and we're not sure if she's a fan of it or not.

Calling all Wildcat Fans

I'm not exactly sure why we got to wander around East High School without anyone saying anything, probably because it was Spring Break. We had to go check out where HSM was filmed while in Utah.

The famous cafeteria

walking the halls of East High

We even found Sharpei's locker

and her parking spot. They do not have high security at this place, and for that we are grateful!
