Connecticut Children's Museum

While visiting the cousins, we went to this fun place for kids.

Spencer made this banjo out of garbage at the museum. Way to recycle.

We loved the Goodnight Moon room.

NYC

Saturday we took the train from New Haven, CT to New York City.

Aaahh, New York. It's been awhile, and it's good to be back. Here is James in Times Square.
Spencer in Times Square. He looks absolutely thrilled.
Just get him into the biggest Toys R Us they've ever seen and his mood instantly changes.
We rode the ferris wheel in Toys R Us.
James and Grace.
The boys were in Lego heaven.

James in Grand Central Station.
We sat in the corner of Grand Central to eat our lunch. I only took this picture because total strangers were taking a picture of us, so I figured it must be a Kodak moment.
And we saw it all on the subway.

Lady Liberty

Spencer and James have been dying to go see the Statue of Liberty. They have both studied a lot about her in school, and they were so excited when we stepped off the subway and saw her.
Taking the boat ride to Liberty Island.

The boys loved it, of course. We couldn't go inside this time because Faith is too little.

We would have stayed longer taking in the beauty of this statue and pondering what she represents, but we were FREEZING!!

Dylan's Candy Bar

What is not to love about this NYC sweet shop with a chocolate fountain going right as we walked in?

I'll take one of each, please.

Picking their favorite candies. This was definitely a hit with the kids (and me too).

I'm Snow Over This

Maybe it's all the bundling up of this little gal who insists on going outside with the boys.

These kids are definitely not over this. What could be better than no school for nine days in two weeks.
