Presidential Pool Party

This President's Day, we hit the pool. Here are some pictures of our fun day hanging out at the pool with our friends.
Hope's first time at the swimming pool.

That would be Spencer coming out of the twisty water slide.

Wanna-be Princess Heaven

Our local high school put on a production of three fairy tales tonight including Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Faith had to dress for the occasion, and we thought Hope should break out her princess duds as well. This little princess duo charmed the pants (and ballgowns) off everyone.
After each play, the cast greeted everyone in the lobby for photos and autographs. OK, not exactly Disneyland, but Faith loved it.

Faith stole Hope's Cinderella dress for this photo.
Snacks kept us going through this three-hour production. Don't you love the floating cheetos backwash?
The best part of these plays was when they asked for kids from the audience to be in the royal court. They didn't pick Faith to go up, but she went up anyway. Prince Charming grabbed her as she came on stage to help her act in her important role as royal courtier.
Good thing she came in costume, as did the little Lightning McQueen boy next to her.
I hope she is always this brave.
The boys came with us, but taking pictures with high school girls isn't really their thing. Maybe in a few years.

She's Four Months

This is Faith at four-months-old.

And this is Hope. Less hair and more rolls than Faith, but we are in love with this gal.
She weighs 13 pounds, 8 ozs and measures 25 inches.
Four months is a big deal to me. Katie didn't get four-month pictures.

Long Beach Days

We have had a couple of 75 degree days, and in February that is a Long Beach day. We are lovin' it! We took the Webelos on a field trip to a nature center and loved being outside.

Don't let her cute shoes and pink poodle fool you. She spent most of her time karate kicking the Webelos and yelling, "Hi-Ya!"
I don't think these warm days will last too much longer, but we sure love them.

Togetherness

This picture says it all. Hope looks terrified that Faith wants to "play" with her, but Faith wanted in on the action of Hope's new toy.
The boys go to bed and these two night owls get to stay up and party with the exersaucer.

Heart Day

For Valentine's Day, we took the boys lunch from McDonald's. Faith thought she was pretty cool eating with the big kids even if her hair is a mess.

As usual Hope just smiles through it all.
The boys came home to find their Valentines-shirts and gift cards to Target.
We made heart-shaped pizza for dinner. Yes, James eats pizza with only crust and sauce.
And for dessert, the traditional sugar cookies--my favorite part of any holiday.

The Perfect Dress

We saw this dress at Costco, and it had Faith's name written all over it--pink, foofy, frilly, bows.
She wears this dress every time she can over her clothes, but today was the first time she got to wear it to church. Just proof that she can look cute once in awhile and have her hair done.
