Today we went to cheer on our favorite Rookie team for their last game.
James is a great ball player, and he was so glad they won their last game. He was excited to be on the same team with his friend Weston this year. Great season, guys!
The girls and I went to James' class today to help with his Mexican Fiesta. They ordered take-out tacos for lunch.
Faith LOVES going to the boys' school. She ate all the food...
rubbed hand sanitizer in her hair...
and hula hooped.
She stayed pretty busy with these blocks. I don't know how much help we were with these girls around, but I'll take any chance I can get to go help in the class if I can take the girls.
They made ponchos...
and sombreros.
Everyone was so impressed Faith knew how to bump knuckles with them so they all wanted a turn with knuckle bumping Faith.
She was so happy to sit with all the big kids during a story. Little does Faith know she still has a very long time before she can even go to kindergarten.
My high school dance teacher, Mrs. Melanie Clifford, retired this year after 34 years of teaching. I was fortunate to be in town for her retirement celebration this weekend. It was so great to see her and all the girls from high school. Mrs. Clifford is quite a lady!
Today was Faith's last day of Kinderdance until her next session in the fall. This morning as we were leaving she said, "Hurry up, I'm late." I wonder where she heard that before.
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." — Marjorie Pay Hinckley
