Mystic, Connecticut

Our last day in Connecticut we drove to Mystic. It is a small little whaling village famous for Mystic Pizza, which we didn't eat.

Don't you love how Faith poses for pictures?
On our drive from Mystic, we stopped at this beach for a few minutes to let the kids swim. The weather this week was not ideal for a beach day, but the kids didn't care.

They didn't really need the ocean, just this life guard tower to jump off of.

A Night 13 Years in the Making

Thirteen years of college, and we got to be there for my brother's last few days when he graduated from the oral surgery program at St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. This is the reason for our week-long vacation in New York and Connecticut. Since the graduating class was only two guys, it was the best graduation we've ever been to. It was held at the country club in New Haven with a program to honor the graduates and lots of yummy food.
All of us Brady kids were there to support this great achievement.
My sister Michelle, Dr. Danny (or Dan as he is known in most circles nowadays), me and my brother Jeff
My parents and brothers and sister.
The gang. I don't know who is more relieved for this day to finally come, my brother or his wife. What a huge accomplishment for my brother and his little family. We are so proud!

Hello Summer!

Goodbye, second grade.
(James and his teacher Mrs. Rivera)
Goodbye, fourth grade.
(Spencer and his teacher Ms. Passuth)
and Hello, Summer! This is a banner that hung across our front yard. You can't read it, but is said, "Welcome to Summer."
We started a tradition last year where the boys get to charge through the banner on their last day of school.
I had a few gifts to celebrate the end of school. They got a pool game...
and movies for our road trips this summer.
Here's proof Faith does have cute hair once in awhile.
Let summer begin!!

Pool Party

After school we headed to the pool for the end of school party. We got there early and had to wait in line to get in.

Faith thinks she's at least ten, and dances with the girls like she's one of them.
The kids pigged out on pizza.
The cutest baby at the pool, hands down.

Spencer's Party

Spencer's end of year party wasn't about little games and crafts. They are too old for that. It's all about sugar, ice cream and electronics.
Once again Faith was in heaven with the big kids. Every time I go to the school, kids all see us and say, "Hi Faith!" She's pretty popular with the elementary school crowd.

Fabulous Fifteen

Fifteen Years. That's equal to seven moves (if you count the rat hole, but that's another story), six cars, six jobs between the two of us, five kids, and lots and lots of wonderful memories. Here's to the next fifteen plus years!
This picture was taken at the Valentine's Dance in Provo right after Spencer was born.
We went out to dinner to celebrate tonight and Doug gave me this necklace. Each colored bead represents the birthstones of our kids. I love it. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and family.

Spencer Plays Spring by Vivaldi

Piano Man

Spencer performed in his first piano recital today, and he did such a great job.
The processional at the beginning.
He didn't want to take a bow when his song was over, but he did it anyway. The picture is dark, but that's what he is doing--bowing.

There was a little reception after the recital with refreshments.
