White House Easter Egg Roll

As far as spring breaks go, this one was pretty bad. We moved all week and the kids even got shots. I was so excited to take them to the White House for our final day of spring break. I hope this experience made up for our very boring spring break.

We got there at 9:00 to wait in line.

And then we got in another line. Mental note to myself: next time we go, don't let Spencer wear my Dirtbags jacket. People were totally dressed up and there's my boys looking like dirtbags.

We watched Gordon from Sesame Street sing with Elmo and Abby. How old is Gordon now? He's looking pretty old.

The kids were excited to see President Obama, Michelle and the girls.

The actual egg rolling, or in the case of my boys, the egg launch. I don't think they are supposed to catch that much air.
Hope and her helper.

One of the activities was story-time where celebrities read to the children. Julianne Moore read to the kids...
and Michelle Obama. My pictures are pretty pathetic since I had to stand behind the camera lady.

I got a great picture of her backside.
And then more celebrities. Faith LOVES the pink Power Ranger.

I have no idea who these things are, but the kids knew them right away and wanted a picture.

They were sad they never found Theodore.

We ended our time at the White House going through their obstacle course led by professional athletes.

We loved it. Hopefully the kids can say they did have a good spring break after all.

Happy Easter!

Every Easter, my thoughts are with this little angel. I cherish the words, "He Lives!" knowing it is through my Savior's love and atonement that we can say about our Katie one day that she lives!
The kids dug right into their treats in their Easter baskets this morning.

As bad as this picture of the kids in their Easter clothes is, it was the best picture I took today. I decided I might just stop taking pictures of the boys since they do their very best to make every picture look horrible.

The girls are always more willing to pose for me.

Happy Easter!

To Dye For

Wow, throwing a three-year-old and one-year-old into an egg dyeing event makes for one crazy experience. I only gave the kids six eggs each, and if it's this hard next year, I think they'll only get three eggs each.

We made these dinosaur eggs out of the eggs that cracked. We thought they were pretty cool.

The Hunt is On

Here are pictures from our ward's Easter brunch and egg hunt.

We had extra candy, so Doug just threw it at the kids like an exploding pinata.
