Easter Egg Hunt

Our family was in charge of our ward's Easter egg hunt this morning.  We helped set up and our family, with the help of the missionaries, filled over 1,000 eggs with candy.  We had a great morning eating brunch with friends and then the hunt was on.

My boys are too big for hunting Easter eggs and would rather play basketball in the gym.

Spencer won't even let me take a picture of him.  How sad they are growing up.

Cub Run

We spent our afternoon at the Cub Run Rec Center pool with the Browns.

Nice belly flop, James!

National Zoo

Today I took the kids to the zoo in DC with some families from our ward.  It was so crowded--it was a zoo.  This is our first really warm day of spring, and everyone had the same idea.  The traffic was terrible getting there and coming home, and we had to wait at a big gate until there were empty parking spots for us.  Despite the craziness, we had a great time.

We wanted to see the kangaroos as soon as we got to the zoo.  I forgot this zoo doesn't have any kangaroos or koalas. They did have a cassowary, or did they?  We saw the sign but not the bird.  What kind of zoo doesn't have koalas or kangaroos?  So disappointed.
 Plenty of flamingos.
