It's the space shuttle Discovery flying over our neighborhood. The boys got to go outside and see it circle around their school where the girls and I watched it with them. It is retiring to the Air and Space Museum right by our house and flew in today from Florida.
Watching the shuttle fly overhead, my thoughts were with these ladies. Five years ago, my friend Keri took us on a tour of NASA at Edwards Air Force Base where we got to go inside one of the 747 airplanes that transports the space shuttle. Lori, Stephanie, Tera, Keri, Bevan, and my dear Long Beach book club, I sure miss you ladies!
