A Little Bit Pasa Doble, A little Bit Vienese Waltz

For Doug's birthday, he took the day off work and we went to the taping of Dancing with the Stars on Monday. We had so much fun even if we didn't get on TV, although Doug swears he can hear himself clapping. Of course we cheered loudest for Marie Osmond and got her to look over and wave at us. We would definitely go again!

Self Portrait

When asked to make a self portrait at school, this is Spencer's masterpiece. Should I be worried? The painting next to it that looks like fire is James' latest painting from preschool.

That's What Little Boys are Made of

There is nothing greater for a little boy than a big pile of sand at the beach!

Hamster Time

While I was at the Relief Society Broadcast on Sept. 29th, I came home to find the boys had convinced their dad to buy them a hamster--two to be exact. I am not a lover of small rodents in my home, but the boys love having a pet. I guess one good thing about having hamsters is they watch a little less TV because the hamsters are running around in those hamster balls entertaining them. Let's just hope they don't get loose like my brother Danny's hamster always did.

Disney Day

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Flat Stanley, a boy who gets mailed around and has adventures, and he was our motivation to get to Disneyland. In addition, Doug was gone to Phoenix so I took the boys for family home evening. It's a great time to visit Disneyland because it isn't very crowded.

BYU 17-UCLA 27

OK, so BYU didn't win, but it was still a great game. We took the boys to their first NCAA game on Saturday Sept. 8th, and you can't beat the Rose Bowl for the setting. There were lots of Cougar fans there and we had fun cheering for BYU.

School's In!

School started for us on September 5, 2007. Spencer's in first grade in Mrs. Romero's class (or as James likes to call her: Mrs. Bow and Arrow). James is in Preschool and loving it. He was disappointed he didn't get a folder like Spencer takes to school, but he quickly got over it.

Day at the Lake

This is a picture from Lake Gregory. The boys loved paddling around on the board. September 1, 2007.

Camping With Giants

Here are just a couple pictures of our camping trip to Sequoia National Park this summer. We camped right in the park, and they have bears so we had to put all our food and deodorant in a bear box. Unfortunatley, we didn't get to see any bears. The boys loved climbing over, under, around and through the giant trees. We also enjoyed going through Crystal Cave and hiking 400 steps to the top of Morro Rock for a breathtaking view. This part of California really is beautiful!

Sad News

I was due the end of January, but over Labor Day weekend, I lost the baby. I had to go to the hospital since I was 18 weeks along. They think it was a little boy. We still are hopeful of having more children. Thank you for your love and concern!
