Father and Sons

Our boys were away at Antietam National Battlefield Park for the fathers and sons campout this weekend.  The Browns were generous to let the boys stay in their tent with them since we have nothing in our house.  We are still waiting for our things to arrive.

 They helped clean up trash.

Freedom X

Our local high school is celebrating ten years since their doors opened and we went to help with the celebration tonight.  It was a fun night out, especially since everything was free!

The cross country team had kids run around the track carrying a water balloon.

And the football team had kids throw, kick and pass.

Soccer Time

We are back on the soccer field today for the first game of the season after a two-year break.  We thought we loved soccer best, but we kind of miss rugby :)

Faith played soccer for the first time ever this year.  It was so hot!!!!!

She liked the drink breaks the best I think.

Well, maybe she liked this the best.

First Day of School

Today is a  big day for James as he starts his middle school experience as a sixth grader.
Spencer was too cool to actually stop for the camera.  I guess that is eighth grade for you.
I took the boys to school this morning because we had to bring our TB test into the school before they would let them start.  They were a little late for their classes after we got everything taken care of, and they tried to open their lockers.  It wasn't an easy thing.

Faith is in afternoon kindergarten at a brand new school.  She will do great since she's been in all-day kindergarten since February.

That school bus is the best invention ever.  I get an hour of my life back this year since I don't have to drive an hour round-trip to pick up the kids like I did in Canberra.
Hope is one excited little girl to start preschool with friends from our ward.  She is in a group with seven little girls, and the moms take turns teaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Labor Day

These are not the greatest pictures, but I just wanted to document that we actually did celebrate Labor Day.  We started the day swimming at the Roneys' then we went to the park with our ward for a Labor Day picnic.  It was so humid!!
A game of kick ball with the kids and the Bishop.

I guess technically our summer is over.  Funny how quickly that went by this year.
