Spencer was so excited that Doug was picked as a chaperone for his field trip to Jamestown and Yorktown today. They had to leave at 6:00 this morning and they didn't get home until almost 9:00 pm.
They went to Jamestown first.
After lunch they went to the Yorktown Victory Center.
You can take the boy off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. Doug took about thirty pictures of this turkey
Don't worry, they weren't on a hot yellow school bus. They rented "deluxe" motor coaches to take them down to Jamestown and Yorktown. The "deluxe" part worked out well until Spencer and Doug's bus broke down and they had to pile into other buses on the way home. They had TV and their Nintendos, though.
James and Faith kept asking when they'd be home. Faith was worried about the broken bus. I think Spencer was more excited that they got to eat at McDonald's on the way home since this is the third time he's been to Jamestown this year. I'm sure it was a great memory for them!
