You can see the Telstra Tower from pretty much anywhere in Canberra. It is a telecommunications tower on top of a hill called Black Mountain. There is a restaurant at the top (very expensive), and you can ride an elevator up to check out the views. It is the Space Needle of Canberra.
Inside there is a model and a small display of telephones, as well as a movie from 1972. You could probably skip that part.
Faith was sure impressed to see the islands in Lake Burley-Griffin. She said it was just like the Island Princess movie.
Lake Burley-Griffin is a man-made lake named after the American who designed the city Canberra.
Parliament Building (their Capitol building).
