Most Aussies wouldn't say they were going to the store. They would say they are going to the shops. We have some great shops near our house, a few small malls that make up a shopping center. The Market Place shops have some great activities during the school holidays. One day we went to make pencil cases. The boys wanted nothing to do with that.
The boys agreed to go on the Pirate Treasure Hunt today after the clown show at the library. We loaded up our van with some extra kids and went looking for treasure. The kids had a paper with clues on it. We had to figure out what shop they were talking about, go to the shop and look for a keyword posted somewhere in the shop.
When we had the right message from our clues, we traded in our papers for treasure, gold chocolate coins.
Not bad for a free activity for the kids.
