Akaroa

Today we woke up in Akaroa.  Ever since the 2010-2011 earthquakes in Christchurch, the port has been shut down and cruise ships have to use Akaroa for access to Christchurch.  Akaroa is a very small but beautiful town, a 1 1/2 hour drive from Christchurch.  Our ship is parked in the middle of a volcano.

We didn't do a dolphin cruise, but Faith liked the dolphin on this sign.

 Gorgeous.
I'm pretty sure that is left-over face paint from the Fun Factory on Hope's face.  They get their faces painted every night and sometimes she won't let us take it off.

Akaroa from a look-out stop on our bus ride to Christchurch.

The tender boat ride from the ship.
Akaroa's Main Street.  Very quaint.
